Following the news that grassroots sport can return to England, British Triathlon has produced guidelines to ensure that events are as Covid-secure as possible. With event organisers having to apply for a British Triathlon permit, athletes now have the chance of seeing live racing from July 25th onwards.
Three events that are leading the way are: Blenheim Triathlon (12-13 September, 2020), the Hever Castle Triathlon (26-27 September 2020), which have both received their British Triathlon permits, and the Outlaw X on 27 September 2020, which should be up and running subject to gaining a COVID compliant event permit.
As three of the UK’s leading triathlon events announce that they will be returning to live racing this summer, the team at endurance sports TV is delving into its archive to bring back race action from previous events.

Blenheim Triathlon has been one of the UK’s leading events for the last 15 years. The course is centred around Blenheim Palace, a World Heritage Site in Oxfordshire, England. The Hever Castle Triathlon is the UK’s second biggest triathlon, the world’s largest children’s triathlon and usually acts as the finale of both the Castle Tri Series and the UK triathlon season. The 2015, 2017 and 2018 events are all available in a Hever Castle Triathlon box set on endurance sports TV.
The last event to announce that its doors are all but open, pending the final approval of a COVID compliant event permit, is the Outlaw X. Celebrating the tenth anniversary of Outlaw triathlons in 2020, the event is aiming to go ahead on 27 September at Thoresby Park, Nottinghamshire. The 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1mile run is part of a full Outlaw Triathlon boxset created for fans and athletes on endurance sports TV.
“The first three events announced are classic British races and we’re delighted to hear they will be going ahead,” continued Peter Tomlinson at endurance sports TV. “We can’t wait until September to share it on the channel.
“In the meantime, we wanted to inspire all of those racing by bringing together some of the best past events on the channel.”
