Evans Cycles, ‘the UK’s leading specialist bike retailer’, has announced the opening of its brand new Newcastle store. As the retailer’s third expansion so far in 2020, Evans notes that the new branch ‘represents a strong ambition to serve the growing number of riders within the North East during the ‘Golden Age of Cycling’ in the UK.’
With over 6,500 square feet spread across two floors, the Newcastle store will stock over 250 bikes for customers to see in person as well as the latest products from leading brands such as Cannondale, Fox, Trek, Brompton, Pinnacle, Raleigh, Castelli, GORE and Endura.
The store also comes complete with a fully equipped workshop and large Shimano Service Centre – offering mechanical assistance with Evans Cycles’ new 24 Hour Servicing Pledge and acceptance of the Government’s new £50 Fix Your Bike repair voucher.
‘As well as state-of-the-art furnishings, customers at the new Newcastle store will also have access to 0% Finance, Click & Collect, and Evans Cycles’ Ride to Work Scheme.’
Newcastle becomes the third Evans Cycles branch within the wider North East region. Situated just off the main shopping area, the new branch is centrally located and has entrances on both Saville Row and Lisle Street (opposite Newcastle City Library). Drafting in colleagues from the well-established Gateshead and Durham branches, the store will be led by an experienced team.
In line with all Evans Cycles stores, strict safety measures have been introduced in the new branch including limiting how many customers can enter at any given time, marking out ‘2 metre zones’ throughout the shop floor and eradicating touch points within the payment process.
As required in all Evans Cycles shops, it is mandatory for customers to wear a face covering whilst in the store.
