The National Running Show has launched its first ever Events Village in partnership with RaceNation, at its flagship Birmingham show at the UK’s NEC, which is scheduled for 30-31 January 2021.
The new feature will ‘enable Race Directors to speak directly with over 27,000 runners right at the beginning of the race season.’
At no cost, all UK races and events can register to be listed within the Events Village for the two days at the show. The listed events will be highlighted on a giant map of the UK and accessed via a QR code. The RaceNation team will then promote the race and encourage bookings on the day.
For events wanting to attend, Race Directors can also sign up to one of ten exclusive ‘pods’ within the Events Village, adjacent to the Inspiration Stage. This provides an opportunity to showcase an event portfolio and ‘have one to one conversations with thousands of runners looking to plan their 2021 race calendar.’
The pods are available on a first come first served basis and at a subsidised cost curtesy of RaceNation. All Event Village exhibitors who book a pod will receive marketing support from the National Running Show team and RaceNation, as well as being featured in the show guide.
RaceNation is a specialist sports technology company that provides event registration, club membership management and fully integrated fundraising with its event day app and online platform.
Nathalie Davies, Event Director at the National Running Show said “Enabling brands in the running market to speak directly to runners is one of our key aims when delivering The National Running Show.
“Being able to help runners get prepared for the running season with the expert guidance from professionals in the market is one of the key motivations of visitors attending the show. The Event Village will make it even easier for runners to plan for their season ahead.”
Will Golder, Director of RaceNation said “With coronavirus having devastating impacts on the event industry, we immediately started to think of ways we could support our sector, and committed to accelerating its redevelopment.
“When we were approached to help solve the need for entrants to be able to sign up to more events, or even find events across the UK that they might not know about, we knew we could help. Our founding ethos back in 2014 was to build technology and support services to provide the best platforms for events and charities of any size.
“By hosting thousands of UK events for free at our Event Village we hope to help power the return of this incredible industry by making visitor bookings fast, easy and exciting.”
