One Running Movement welcomes National Pride as foundation partner

The organisers of One Running Movement, ‘a collaborative evolution for movement and change’ in the UK, have announced National Pride as a foundation partner.

National Pride is a community interest company established in 2018 to build quality homes and new ‘green’ towns across the UK. The aim is to create inter-generational communities for the inclusion of all.

The partnership with National Pride will see both sides working together to ‘continue to make a difference to current and future generations, with wellness and wellbeing at the heart of what they do.’

One Running Movement (ORM) offers non-competitive, virtual and live cumulative running events at the half marathon and marathon distance. The organisation aims to make a difference to people’s lives from the age of 4 upwards through running, movement and collaboration.

By encouraging school age pupils, siblings and families to get active and rewarding them along the way, ORM is playing a part in encouraging youngsters and adults to develop healthy habits to exercise regularly, improve wellbeing and build confidence through sport.

One Running Movement Co-Founder Rebecca Richardson said, “We are delighted to welcome National Pride as a foundation partner for One Running Movement. National Pride is very much community focused in their mission and this perfectly reflects our ethos at One Running Movement to create more active communities, provide social connectivity and support the creation of healthy habits.

“We are very much looking forward to working side by side to make a difference together for future generations over the months and years to come. We are grateful for the support of National Pride at these times.”

Irene Bisset, Chair at National Pride, added, “National Pride’s mission is to create ‘intergenerational communities’ where wellness in a healthy mind and body combine together with social inclusion for the benefit of all in our society. If COVID-19 has taught us anything, it is that community spirit is at the heart of society, we can all support each other, be included and be proud to be part of something much, much greater.

One Running Movement will be a vital part of National Pride communities, encouraging participation and social interaction for all ages, abilities and background. We are delighted to be a foundation partner for One Running Movement whose ambitions, ethos and values are entirely aligned with National Pride. Our desire to work together will ‘make a difference’.”

National Pride is one of twelve ‘Foundation Partners’ and ‘Powered by Partners’ working together with One Running Movement founders Rebecca Richardson and Joe Williams. Other Foundation Partners include Up & Running, Polar, New Balance, One Water and McLEAR. Powered By Partners include UKRunChat, Women’s Running, Run Mummy Run, Social Run Group, Breathe Unity and Social Chain.

Save the Children is the global charity partner for One Running Movement.
