With the indoor season in full swing, PEDALITALY has created a special XMAS Cycling Series on the ROUVY virtual cycling platform. This features four virtual races with the ‘aim to give cycling enthusiasts around the globe the chance to enjoy and discover insights of four beautiful destinations in Italy.’

Starting from Preore, in the province of Trento, riders will take on the ascent to Madonna di Campiglio, the pearl of the Brenta Dolomites against former cycling world champion Maurizio Fondriest and former motorcycle road racer world champion Marco Melandri.
Verona Virtual Race (Veneto) December 20th at 10:00 CET

ROUVY notes that this will be one of the most challenging races: riders will tackle the Passo del Tonale. Starting from the centre of Edolo, the ride goes through the Camonica Valley as far as Ponte di Legno and starts climbing the pass between Lombardy and Trentino Alto Adige up to an altitude of 1884m.
Trebbio Virtual Race (Tuscany) December 30th at 19:00 CET
Starting from the town of Piaggione the virtual route will cycle along the Serchio river that flows under one of the most original bridges in Tuscany: the Devil’s Bridge. This continues to the town of Bagni di Lucca ahead of the Trebbio Pass climb.
The virtual races will be streamed live on PEDALITALY’s Facebook and Twitch pages and will be ‘commented on by professional speakers such as Paolo Mei and Veronica Bellandi Bulgari who will make racers feel like professional cyclists at Giro d’Italia.’
Participants require a bike, a smart trainer, ROUVY AR App and a screen. The live streaming broadcast can be followed on Facebook or Twitch from 25 minutes before the start of each race.
