The Street Child UK charity has teamed up with leading event registration platform, njuko, to get the Street Child UK Christmas charity fundraising campaign up and running in time for December.
The charity notes that ‘since the pandemic first hit, at least one third of the world’s schoolchildren have not been able to access any form of learning. Close to half a billion students are still affected by prolonged school closures, and 24 million of the most marginalized children, of which almost half are girls, are at risk of never returning to a classroom.’
Companies are encouraged to partner and take part in the Rudolph Run this December. The virtual fundraising event is open to anyone… ‘You can run it anytime and anywhere, around your garden, down the road or out with the whole family. There will be a prize for the Best Festive Dress, so Santa outfits are actively encouraged.’
Using the njuko virtual platform, walkers, joggers, runners or wheelchair users can log their virtual activities, upload finisher selfies, see themselves on a leaderboard (if they wish) and get regular communications about the good work SCUK does and join the JustGiving campaign – justgiving.com/campaign/streetchild-rudolphrun.
Matt Trevett from njuko said “We have a lot of races turned virtual races switching to the njuko platform; but we had a lot of solutions to the type of offering Street Child UK required.
“It is important that we do our bit to support the UK charity industry, and being able to get their campaign set up quickly and with tools in place to automate what they need – it means they can spend their time on the more crucial aspects – fundraising.”
