Active Training World, the Hertfordshire, UK-based race organiser and online entry service provider, has confirmed the acquisition of Dengie Events and its event portfolio in Eastern England.
The company confirmed the acquisition via a media statement and message to Dengie Events’ athletes…
‘We are delighted to let you know that Active Training World will now be organising The Big East Triathlon, The Tour of Dengie Sportive, Fambridge Yacht Haven Triathlon and Maldon Triathlon. These event were organised by Dengie Events, which has been purchased by Active Training World.
‘We are very excited to be organising these fantastic events and have now opened entries for 2021, we’d love to see you there!’

The team at Active Training World added… ‘We are offering early bird discounts on all of these race as part of our January sale until 31st January 2021.
‘We want you to book with confidence so, if this event can no longer go ahead, and a postponement date isn’t found, you will be offered a virtual event or a refund of your entry fee. (Booking fees are non-refundable).’
Active Training World specialises in running, triathlon, duathlon, aquathon, cycling, swimming and all permutation of swim-bike run events. The company has a varied portfolio of events – from fun runs to marathon, open water swimming to long distance triathlon events.
The event organiser added that… ‘sporting governing bodies have recognised our ability to organise exceptional events. British Triathlon have asked us to organise the National Sprint Triathlon Championships for three years running as well as being host to several World and European Triathlon and Duathlon qualifier events over the last 3 years.’
