British-based Zone3 has launched the Aspect Breaststroke Wetsuit. The wetsuit is set to tap into the open water community specifically, and was developed in response to… ‘the high volume of those searching for an option in which they can swim breaststroke with as well as front crawl.’
Zone3 argues that the new offering is different to the majority of other wetsuits, which are only designed for surface swimming and don’t allow for the lateral leg movement required for the breaststroke technique.
Utilising a mixture of high performance Aqua-X, Smoothskin and High-Stetch Nylon panels, the Aspect is designed to allow an extended range of movement between the legs and across the chest.
Zone3’s Aspect is made from a combination of 1.5mm, 2mm and 3mm thicknesses. This helps the legs to stay submerged in the water and a natural breaststroke swimming position can be maintained.
‘A combination of glued and flatlock seams allows the extra stretch in key movement areas, while also keeping the price point as affordable as possible.’
