Australian cycling apparel brand MAAP listed on MR PORTER

MAAP, the Melbourne-based cycling apparel brand, has this month made its debut on global online men’s style destination MR PORTER. This sees the online retailer stock a range of MAAP cycling kit.

‘MAAP goes live on MR PORTER with a selection of its highly regarded cycling jerseys, bib shorts and accessories alongside a select number of leading fashion, lifestyle and sports brands.

‘Featured on site is MAAP’s latest range of apparel and accessories including the new Team Bib Evo shorts and selection of Evade Jerseys, MAAP’s recycled Emblem Jerseys and the recently launched MAAP x New Era Caps.’

The MR PORTER launch comes soon after a new MAAP boutique opened in the Sports and Outdoor room at Harrods, one of the world’s leading luxury department stores. Alongside a select number of cycling retailers globally, MAAP is also available from British fashion and luxury goods boutique Browns Fashion, as well as via premium menswear retailer Article Fashion.

“MR PORTER is a hugely symbolic retail partner for MAAP and our expansion globally as a nod to both our performance characteristics and design aesthetic,” explained Jarrad Smith, MAAP Co-Founder.

“To see our brand alongside the likes of international designers is a really proud moment for us. As passionate cyclists, we can’t wait to bring the Australian culture to a new market in a powerful way through this partnership.”

Since its inception in 2014, MAAP has also pushed sustainability. According to the company, a pursuit of sustainability spans all practices including raw material selection, manufacturing right through to product end life cycle.

Currently over 95% of all of MAAP’s on-bike apparel fabrics are sustainably sourced from Bluesign System Mills, a percentage the brand aims to make 100% by 2022.
