The team at DATEV Challenge Roth, powered by hep, in Germany, has made a livestream available for this year’s event – taking place on September 5, 2021.
The race start countdown begins at 06:30 CET on September 5 – with the live race action commencing at 07:00.
After the COVID-related cancellation last year and a two-month postponement in 2021, the ‘world’s largest long distance triathlon’ in Roth has a world-class elite field.
Leading up to the race, the organisers noted… ‘With Anne Haug, Sebastian Kienle and Patrick Lange, there are three world champions in the triathlon dream factory. It’s almost as if Hawaii has been relocated to Franconia.’
The iconic long-distance triathlon DATEV Challenge Roth has a reduced number of participants this year (1,500 individual starters, 320 relays). The organisers add that a strict hygiene concept is being implement, which in some areas exceeds the official requirements.
This year the organisers request that fans do not line the course, but instead watch the race on television or online. In addition to the above livestream, the event will be broadcast live by BR Fernsehen from 06.45 in full and can also be seen live in full online at www.sportschau.de, www.BR24Sport.de and www.challenge-roth.com.
