Echelon Fitness launches auto-fold Stride smart treadmill to UK market

Echelon Fitness has launched its Stride smart folding treadmill into the UK market. According to the at-home fitness specialist, this ‘further underlines an ongoing commitment to bringing the most accessible and convenient, yet innovative at-home immersive fitness technologies to the UK market.’

The launch builds upon the roll-out of Echelon Fitness’ range of Connect Bikes and the Smart Rower as the company continues to build out an extensive portfolio of workout solutions for UK consumers.

‘The Echelon Stride sees functionality and technology meet intelligent design through a patented three-step auto-fold mechanism. The ultimate space saver, built-in wheels and a lightweight frame combine to afford unrivalled manoeuvrability. Folding to just 10 inches, the Echelon Stride will enable consumers to conveniently store the treadmill horizontally or vertically with ease.’

With a 55-inch x 20-inch running deck, the ergonomic Stride treadmill also boasts an impressive array of wider features including:

  • Smart technology – the Stride comes with an 18.5inch integrated LED readout display delivering live data around heart rate, distance, incline, time, speed and calorie burn.
  • Functionality and features – with a maximum speed of 12mph and a maximum incline of 10%, the Stride’s handlebars double up as a convenient way to toggle between speeds and inclines, and as heart rate sensors.
  • A sleek, sophisticated build – when assembled, the 69-inch x 31-inch x 49-inch steel build treadmill includes a generous ‘step-off’ area on each side, as well as a built-in safety stop lanyard.
  • Hundreds of live and on-demand classes – the Echelon Stride connects via Bluetooth to the Echelon Fit App, with the ability to tap into an expansive range of run-based classes. These are delivered by instructors to suit a user’s style, and accessed through a tablet or smartphone.
  • Versatility – from endurance and interval runs, to immersive scenic runs that transport the user to picturesque trails and walkways around the globe, there’s also a versatile range of off-treadmill classes to tap into, from yoga to Pilates to boxing and more.
  • Community, and personalised data – users can compete against friends, family and the wider global Echelon community on a motivating leaderboard, and will receive personalised performance reports, to track progress in real-time.

Angelo Ramsbott, President at Echelon Fitness said “Following the success of Stride in the US, we’re delighted to now bring the product to UK consumers. Convenience and accessibility have always been things we stand by in everything we do, and the Stride is proof once again that these things needn’t come at a compromise in terms of quality and design.”

He added “The vision has always been to support and champion our global communities with the very best workout solutions, and in the UK this is an exciting next chapter in doing just that.”

The Echelon Stride Treadmill costs £1,599 and payment plans are available from £67 a month. Subscription to Echelon’s hub of live and on-demand workouts starts from £24.99 a month.

Echelon’s ‘United’ subscription model means one membership works for all equipment, including the brand’s Connect Bikes and Smart Rower.
