Following the launch of German run shoe brand True Motion in German-speaking countries and its first steps in Benelux, an expansion into Great Britain and Northern Ireland is now well underway.
The True Motion models U-TECH Aion, Nevos, Solo and Nevos Elements are now available at various running specialty stores in the UK. By mid-December the brand’s distribution network will be expanded further by adding stores in London.
At the core of True Motion’s concept is U-TECH. This is billed as a world first technology that provides a comfortably soft, responsive, yet stable running experience. U-TECH centres the point of force application under the mid-axis of the foot during running.
The company cites lab-based studies, which have reportedly shown that… ‘the innovative sole construction in True Motion running shoes can reduce loading and improve alignment compared to other leading brands.’
Founded in 2018, by Andre Kriwet, Prof Dr Gert-Peter Brüggemann and Christian Arens, True Motion focuses its efforts on… ‘an optimal and pain-free experience for runners, not on cost reduction and margin optimization.’
The company adds that ‘over 80,000 running enthusiasts are already benefiting from the unique True Motion running experience.’
Kriwet and Brüggemann are veterans in the running industry – having developed a number of innovations for brand such as Nike, Brooks, and Asics, among others.
The running firm has also received several ISPO awards for its shoe concepts, for the U-TECH Nevos (gold winner ‘Health & Fitness’) and for the U-TECH Aion (winner ‘Street Running’ category).
