HUUB and RGT Cycling have announced the launch of the Derbados Ten, an eight week Time Trial Series that will give cyclists from around the world an insight into the ‘Great British obsession with time trialling’.
Jacob Tipper, or ‘Tipper’ (HUUB’s Head of Cycling), has ‘spent hours meticulously selecting routes that showcase the best of British, including courses like the Bobbington Ten and the Coalville Wheelers Ten.’
These roads are being reproduced for the new virtual time trial series using RGT Cycling’s Magic Road Feature.
Tipper, an accomplished athlete, professional coach, and Ribble Weldtite cyclist, has created a specialist Time Trial Training Plan to accompany the event series. The plan has been specifically devised to improve time trial ability and make riders fitter, faster and stronger for the coming Time Trial season.
Starting on Friday, March 19th, the event is hosted on a RGT Challenge Road, which means that it is always on and can be joined at any time. Those that take part can check out their results on the Derbados 10 Time Trial leaderboard, see how they compare to the HUUB pro athletes and challenge their friends to beat their best times.
RGT Cycling has a freemium subscription, so users won’t have to subscribe to get involved. To use RGT Cycling, two apps are required: a mobile app and a screen app. Indoor cyclists will also need a source of power – either from a smart trainer or a power meter on the bike.
