RaceNation, the integrated event registration and fundraising platform, has released a new fundraising feature on its SportsGiving donation platform.
The feature enables donors to enhance their support for a charity by covering the small processing fees charged when making a donation, meaning 100% of their donation can be paid to the charity.
RaceNation and SportsGiving’s integration already helps to raise money for charities by creating automatic fundraising pages for entrants when entering an event. It will now give every donor the opportunity to opt for this small change to make a difference to the total funds raised.
‘SportsGiving, owned and operated by RaceNation, is a fully featured online donation platform specifically aimed at the mass participation event sector. The secure platform collects eligible GiftAid for charities free of charge and offers some of the lowest fees in the industry with no fixed costs.’
Will Golder, Director of RaceNation said “As the whole team at RaceNation and SportsGiving continue to support the event and charity sector so badly hit by COVID-19, we are delighted to offer another option for charities to improve fundraising totals and enable donors the opportunity to boost their donation.
“We have continued to see a growing desire for entrants to be more involved in fundraising and we hope that this feature will allow donors to do more for charities, allowing them to increase valuable donation amounts during difficult times.”
In a devastating period for the event and charity sectors, RaceNation adds that it is determined to continue its support for the mass participation event and charity industries. Throughout 2020, RaceNation launched a long list of features, including a virtual event offering enabling events and charities to host all their events, fundraising and results on one platform.
Partnerships with findarace.com and The National Running Show were also designed to increase event awareness and boost the recovery of the industry.
