British performance eyewear brand SunGod has announced that its lifestyle sunglasses range will now offer 8KO lens technology. Following the success of the new 8KO lenses used in SunGod’s Pace Series range launched last summer, the company adds that… ‘customers are now able to experience ultimate optical clarity with the Classics³, Renegades, and Sierras models.’
SunGod’s 8KO lens technology uses a new construction technique combined with a nylon based material. This is claimed to be a higher grade lens material than the industry standard polycarbonate currently used by most major brands.
This technology claims to give a higher level of optical precision known as ‘Abbe’ (chromatic aberration) value. With the new lenses weighing less than the 4KO lens option, the lifestyle range – which already uses lightweight, impact-resistant frames – are now lighter than before; improving both comfort, durability and performance.
SunGod will offer a large range of customisation options with the new 8KO lifestyle lenses. Customers have the option of either Polarised or non-Polarised, and can then select from seven lens tints across the lifestyle series.
SunGod’s 4KO lens will continue to be available to buy. According to the company, ‘this means there are now a staggering 1,792 unique versions of each model on offer – giving SunGod customers unparalleled levels of customisation whilst maintaining fair prices, flexible to different budgets, with prices ranging from £45 to £110.’
