The first documentary film on the ultracyclist Omar Di Felice, produced by Wilier Triestina, has premièred on YouTube (Italian speaking, english subtitled).
Released this week, on Tuesday 21 September, at 21:00 CEST, Wilier Triestina has made the documentary film ‘La Linea di Confine’ (The Border Line) available on its YouTube channel.
The film describes the endeavours of Roman ultra-cyclist Omar Di Felice who, in July 2020, in less than five days, cycled more than 1,600 kilometres across the Alps – from Muggia to Ventimiglia, on his Wilier 0 SLR.
‘The film covers every aspect of the enterprise: from those purely athletic, to the more psychological and personal ones, and through to the historical ones linking Omar’s effort to the greatest achievements in the history of cycling.’
Luca Violetto, Head of Communication at Wilier Triestina, explained the idea behind this new visual experience, saying “In some ways, Omar Di Felice’s exploits represent Wilier Triestina’s innermost essence.
“His adventures are the fulfilment of a dream and require considerable self-denial and the desire to improve continuously – just like we try to do with our products and brand. We embraced this new film project alongside Different Media Production, a film studio we have been working with for some time now, that instantly decided to take up the challenge of producing this lengthy footage.
“In an hour and four minutes, the film documents the vision we share with Omar: that of the bicycle as a genuine and often educational ‘way of life’. The film is currently available on the Internet, but may in future be aired at the cinema.”
