The UCI Road World Championships has reached its 100th anniversary in 2021, and Santini is celebrating the event with a special collection. This includes a men’s and women’s jersey decorated with the names of male and female UCI Road World Champions, plus a limited-edition jersey with gold details.
The UCI Road World Championships is taking place in Flanders, Belgium, this week, with the championships running from 19th to 26th September.
Santini has been an Official Partner of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) since 1988.
Cycling legends
The men’s jersey, dedicated to 100 years of the UCI Road World Championships, celebrates cycling legends, featuring the names of all the cyclists who have won the world title in the road event from 1921 to 2020.
The jersey is made using a combination of light, breathable micromesh fabrics with raw cut sleeves. Similarly, the women’s version bears the names of female champions whose names have entered the championships’ roll of honour. It, too, is made using a combination of micromesh fabrics and is cut to suit the female figure.
The men’s and women’s jersey has an RRP of €100.
Limited Edition Gold version
Santini has also produced a unique, Limited Edition of just 1,000 units to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the UCI Road World Championships.
For the Limited Edition, each jersey is numbered and is embellished with gold details such as: the zip, a label on the side that also carries the jersey’s number, and a label sewn in the centre of the rear pocket recounting the 100-year history of UCI Road World Championships.
Santini adds that the limited jersey is eco-friendly, as it is made entirely from Polartec Power Dry Recycled, a fabric made from yarn derived from recycled PET. With an RRP of €150, the jersey can be purchased at santinicycling.com and in selected shops around the world. It is packaged in a collectable presentation box.
