ORCA has launched a new collection of triathlon wetsuits that aim to help triathletes achieve better performances and results in the water.
According to the brand… ‘We realized that the technologies we were using could be further optimized if we could just apply them to each wetsuit more effectively. We found that, thanks to this evolution of the designs, we achieved better results. It’s performance made simple.’
The new triathlon wetsuit collection consists of two main ranges, the Athlex and Apex. ORCA notes that the Athlex is… ‘designed for triathletes who want to work on their technique and keep improving every day, while still being able to enjoy the race.’
Meanwhile, the Apex range consists of ORCA’s most advanced wetsuits… ‘This line is designed and developed for triathletes who want the best results and are looking to make every second and stroke count.’
Flex, Flow and Float
The Athlex and the Apex are divided into three product families. The Flex family offers maximum flexibility and minimal buoyancy. It is designed for triathletes who already have a refined technique and are looking for performance, as well as maximised freedom with each stroke.
The Flow family allows for a natural and unrestricted stroke thanks to the flexibility of the upper body. It also provides more buoyancy in the leg area to help achieve a more efficient and stable kick. The third family,
Float is for triathletes who are just starting out in open water, or for long-distance competitors who are looking for maximum buoyancy and stability when swimming.
ORCA adds that its new designs are focused on how the human body naturally interacts with water, while enhancing elasticity, buoyancy, hydrodynamics and fit to further improve positioning and efficiency of movement.
‘Like the ORCA Alpha wetsuit, the new Apex Flex is for athletes who have mastered the technique of swimming and want to swim with total freedom. The new Athlex Flex, as a new (r)evolution of the Equip, combines different innovative technologies to provide increased flexibility and buoyancy to the swimmer, so that they can enjoy swimming without any restrictions.’
The ORCA Predator becomes the new Apex Flow, an advanced version of the wetsuit that is for triathletes looking for a perfect balance between buoyancy and flexibility.
Meanwhile, the Athlex Flow it is a new and improved version of the Sonar wetsuit, designed to provide stability and flexibility in order to help achieve correct positioning in the water.
Like the 3.8, the new Apex Float is designed to improve the elevation of the swimmer’s legs, correcting positioning and hydrodynamics in the water.
And finally, the ORCA S7 becomes the Athlex Float, a wetsuit designed to elevate the triathlete’s position in the water, without sacrificing the flexibility needed for each swim stroke.
