Having reported a ‘complete sell-out’ for all four of its 2022 ‘joyriding weekends’, LeBlanq’s first day ride for 2022 is scheduled to take place in the Surrey Hills in southern England on July 24th.
Luxury cycling tour operator LeBlanq offers experiences for cycling gourmands. Its first day ride of 2022 will include lead rider, the ‘Lion of Flanders’, Johan Museeuw. The three times winner of the Tour of Flanders and Paris Roubaix, will be joined by LeBlanq’s team of pro-riders.
The ride is followed by a lunch hosted at Specialized HQ. The day will also include opportunity for all guests to gather to watch the final stage of the Tour de France on a big screen alongside Museeuw – 32 years on from his own Champs Élysées triumph.
‘After time for tour reflection, chats and photos with Johan and fellow guests, as well as time to freshen up, the day will conclude with dinner at Michelin starred restaurant Sorrel, where guests will be greeted with a chilled glass of crisp Laurent-Perrier Champagne before a four-course menu, especially created by Michelin starred chef Steve Drake to celebrate Johan and the Tour de France.’
Available to a limited total of 40 guests, tickets are £245 per person, with the day commencing at 08:00 BST at Specialized HQ for a light breakfast, and concluding after dinner at Sorrel. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, guided rides to suit all abilities, a Champagne aperitif before dinner and all water and soft drinks throughout the day are included.
Part of LeBlanq’s program for 2022, the Surrey event is the first day ride on sale for the summer, with more one day experiences set to be announced soon. The company’s program also includes sold-out joyriding weekends to the Isle of Wight, Scotland, Norway and Ibiza. Participating riders includ Sir Bradley Wiggins, Sir Chris Hoy, Mark Cavendish and Thor Hushovd – with chefs including Angela Hartnett, Tom Kitchen and Niklas Ekstedt,
Earlier this year, cycling experience specialist LeBlanq announced an investment by Rapha – with Rapha also on board as its exclusive apparel partner going forward. Further investment was also confirmed from ‘leaders in the premium cycling and events worlds – Simon Mottram, Simon Kimble and Tim Ashton.’
LeBlanq also signed Specialized as its official bike partner for 2022 and renewed partnerships from its launch 2021 season with brands including Laurent-Perrier, Michelin, Aston Martin, Cold Bath Brewing, Sigma Sports and Veloforte.
