Smart swim tech specialist FORM has unveiled its latest feature, Workout Builder. Building on its subscription-based swimming platform, the new feature allows swimmers to build a workout from scratch, input a coach’s workout, or edit any of FORM’s 1,000+ coach-designed workouts.
FORM enables athletes to see their metrics as they swim, with in-goggle real-time data and workout instructions.
FORM’s Workout Builder, paired with the recently launched Plans feature, aims to take the guesswork out of pool time. A see-through digital display gives users instructions, when to swim and rest, and what effort level to swim at.
“We are very excited to launch Workout Builder today, our top requested feature since we launched Workouts one year ago,” said Paul Hossack, VP of Product at FORM.
“Workouts raised the bar for how motivating and fun a swim could be, but was limited to our workouts. No matter where you get your workouts, Workout Builder is another key step in our journey to help you become a better swimmer and love this great sport even more.”
Lionel Sanders, pro triathlete and four-time Ironman Champion, said “The athlete-coach relationship is paramount for any athlete. I need to deliver and execute on the exact plan that has been made specifically for me.
“FORM’s new Workout Builder tool allows me to leverage the absolute best swim training device with my custom workout plan.”
FORM adds that Workout Builder will continue to progress with upgrades coming soon to personalize the experience more. As part of these upgrades, athletes will be able to edit custom drill names, use their preferred effort scale (RPE), split stroke, split effort, and more.
