Nominations are set to open for the first Global Triathlon Awards as the awards categories have today been revealed.
The event, to be held at Palais de la Mediterranee in Nice, France, on a revised date of Friday, January 20th, 2023, is being supported by a number of triathlon organisations. These include: World Triathlon, Super League Triathlon, the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO), alongside headline partners France’s Department 06 and cycling specialist Ekoi.
There will be awards for ‘best male’ and ‘best female’ triathletes, to include paratriathletes, as well as ‘rookie of the year’, whilst the ‘lifetime kudos awards’ will recognise those who have made outstanding contributions to the sport.
In addition, the awards organisers add that… ‘the brands and contributors that help make the sport will also be celebrated with a range of categories to ensure their considerable contribution is properly recognised.’
Nominations open this Wednesday, 26th October, and close next Sunday, 6th November.
The awards are free to enter, and open to the triathlon community globally. The shortlist of nominees will be published online on November 24th, with the final winners revealed at the ceremony in Nice, France in January.
