USA Triathlon has partnered with Vitruvian, an in-home strength and personal training platform, which becomes the national governing body’s official strength training partner.
‘The Australian-based company produces an innovative smart strength training machine that brings the gym weight room to people’s homes in a slim, carbon fibre platform. Vitruvian’s technology includes the Vitruvian app which gives users access to 200-plus exercises, classes curated by elite fitness coaches, data tracking and performance insights.’
As a part of the partnership, Vitruvian will offer four specially curated training programs written by USA Triathlon Level III Certified Coach Kris Swarthout. These training programs include four-week bike, swim and running programs, along with an eight-week off-season triathlon program.
“USA Triathlon is proud to partner with Vitruvian to promote strength and mobility training for all athletes, regardless of competitive level,” said Victoria Brumfield, USA Triathlon Interim CEO.
“We aim to build partnerships with organizations that share our values, especially our belief in embracing new ideas and technologies that have a positive impact on people’s lives. With Vitruvian’s innovative and adaptive technology platform, multisport athletes can enjoy convenient, at-home access to strength training.”
Jon Gregory, Chief Executive Officer at Vitruvian, said “We are ecstatic to announce this partnership with USA Triathlon.
“We are looking forward to working with USA Triathlon and for athletes to reap the many benefits of strength training with our innovative, eccentric and adaptive technology.”
Vitruvian and USA Triathlon are also collaborating to provide Vitruvian trainers to US Paralympic medallist Grace Norman and US elite triathletes Chase McQueen, Tamara Gorman and Gina Sereno to assist in their training.
Throughout the partnership, Vitruvian and USA Triathlon note that they will continue to collaborate on creating triathlon-specific training programs available for multisport athletes.
