Designed for runners requiring a ‘do it all’ road-to-trail shoe, Altra has released the Outroad 2. The run shoe firm adds that the new shoe has been… ‘Tested and developed to offer versatility, durability, and comfort to help runners explore new routes, conquer diverse terrains, and push their limits.’
The Outroad 2 features a MaxTrac outsole for various types of terrain. The outsole is loaded with grippy multidirectional lugs that follow the natural shape of the foot.
Altra’s EGO midsole foam sits on top of this, offering 27mm of cushioning that gives a soft yet responsive ride, and offers a combination of balance, ground feel and energy return. Notable updates over the shoe’s predecessor include a revamped upper that boosts durability, and plusher cushioning around the heel.
Featuring Altra’s signature Slim FootShape Fit, the Outroad 2 provides a comfortable profile and the freeing experience of a wide toe-box that allows toes to relax and spread out naturally. This is said to offer a familiar experience for dedicated Altra fans, and one that promotes stability during uphill climbs and downhill descents, enhancing balance, comfort and on-the-run enjoyment.
Priced at £130, the Outroad 2 is available in four colours for men and women.
