On Sunday, August 20, 2023, IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant, part of the VinFast IRONMAN North America Series, will return for its tenth and final edition in the international resort of Tremblant in the heart of Quebec’s Laurentian Mountains.
In addition, the IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant triathlon, which was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 25 and cancelled due to the devastating Canadian wildfires, will take place in conjunction with the full-distance race.
The race weekend begins on August 18 with athlete check-in at Quartier Tremblant Camp de Base.
Since first joining the IRONMAN circuit in 2012, Mont-Tremblant in Canada and its neighbouring communities have become a key destination, attracting top professionals and age-group athletes alike to race in Québec’s Laurentians every summer.
As of 2024, local event organiser Événements Sportifs Mont-Tremblant and The IRONMAN Group have mutually agreed that the focus will stay trained on the IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant triathlon weekend of races, which also includes the 5150 Mont Tremblant.
Following several discussions which began last spring, the decision was taken by mutual agreement that the full-distance triathlon will therefore be discontinued after its 2023 edition.
The 2023 IRONMAN Mont Tremblant offers female age group qualifying slots to the 2023 VinFast IRONMAN World Championship taking place in Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i on October 14, 2023, and male age group qualifying slots to the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i on October 26, 2024.
The 2023 IRONMAN 70.3 Mont Tremblant will offer age group qualifying slots to the 2024 VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship on December 14 & 15, 2024 in Taupō, New Zealand.
