Polish sports marketing and event organising firm, Sport Evolution Group is expanding, to begin operations in the Czech Republic. Through a subsidiary in the central European country, its first step is to organize the inaugural IRONMAN 70.3 Hradec Kralove event in the Czech Republic.
Sport Evolution is the exclusive licensee of the IRONMAN brand in Poland, and from 2024 also in the Czech Republic. For the next three years, it will be the organizer of IRONMAN 70.3 Hradec Kralove.
IRONMAN 70.3 Hradec Kralove is set for August 18, 2024. Registration is scheduled to start at the turn of October and November this year.
“We have been preparing for this for a year and a half, and I am very excited about the new challenges and opportunities for the development of our company in the Czech Republic,” said Michał Drelich, President of Sport Evolution Group.
“We are the first IRONMAN franchisee in Europe, if not in the world, operating in two countries. Currently, our event portfolio includes three IRONMAN events in Poland, in Warsaw, Gdynia and Poznań, and, from 2024, Hradec Kralove is joining them.”
Roman Sinkovsky, who has extensive experience in organizing events, is the Managing Director of Sport Evolution Czech subsidiary. The firm is, among other events, the organiser of Gladiator Race, the largest series of obstacle races in the Czech Republic.
Michał Drelich added, “Many months of working together have shown that we understand and complement each other perfectly. Roman observed our events in Poland and I have no doubt that under his leadership we will be able to enjoy a spectacular event in the Czech Republic.”
Hradec Kralove is one of the largest cities in the Czech Republic, located an hour away from Prague and is relatively close to the border with Poland.
Michał Drelich continued, “First of all, it is a beautiful city with numerous monuments. Swimming in the Elbe in the centre of Hradec Kralove will be quite an attraction, where we expect fans along the entire route. In addition, there is a beautiful bicycle and running route.”
