Red Bull motoring with Flying Laps Challenge

Red Bull has a new challenge in store for 2023. Together with Strava and the home of the British Grand Prix, the Red Bull Flying Laps Challenge this March is challenging runners to run their fastest lap of the Silverstone motor racing circuit.

Red Bull notes that… ‘Anyone can enter, from rookies to elite athletes. It’s not about who is the fastest but setting your own pace across four weeks to be in with a chance of some once in a lifetime opportunities at Silverstone.’

Red Bull Flying Laps will task participants with running the distance of a Silverstone lap (5.9km) weekly, for four weeks. As part of the challenge, anyone whose lap time comes in under 40 minutes, will be in with the chance of winning Red Bull rewards.

After completing the challenge, participants can also opt in to enter a draw for a Silverstone Track Day, and, if selected, will be invited to run a lap of the circuit in real life.

Those looking to take part will need to download the Strava app and join the Flying Laps challenge before March 5, 2023. The first 2,500 who join Red Bull Flying Laps are automatically eligible to receive a Red Bull prize.

Red Bull has also appointed a skilled pit crew to support participants’ training. This ambassador team includes elite triathlete Lucy Charles-Barclay, ultrarunner Tom Evans and cyclist Evie Richards, alongside many more are on hand to provide helpful hints and tips on speeding through the challenge.
