The 2023 Running USA Industry Conference presented by Race Roster, is being held in Denver, Colorado, on February, 12-14, 2023. Two speakers have recently been confirmed by the conference’s organising team.
Chris Nikic, the first athlete with Down Syndrome to become an IRONMAN (setting a world record in the process and earning sponsorship from Adidas) has been confirmed as a speaker.
“Running changed my life,” says Chris Nikic. “Now I want everyone like me to see that it’s possible for them too.”
Master’s marathoner Nicholas Thompson, CEO of The Atlantic, one of the USA’s leading magazines, has also been confirmed by Running USA as a keynote speaker at its 2023 industry conference.
Thompson has been CEO of The Atlantic since February 2021. He said, “The lessons from running are often the lessons for life, though sometimes they’re not easy to see. I’m thrilled to have the chance to discuss this beautiful sport with the people who make it happen.”
