The MyWhoosh Championship, originally scheduled to get under way on March 30th, 2023, has been postponed. The virtual cycling event’s organising team noted that new dates for the series will be confirmed and communicated imminently. A new registration date for the upcoming championship has been confirmed for March 27th.
The fourth annual virtual cycling race series boasts what is being claimed as ‘the largest prize pot in e-sport cycling to date’ with US$1 million up for grabs.
A release from MyWhoosh noted…
‘Interest from the cycling community for the MyWhoosh Championship event has far exceeded our expectations, and we have received feedback from experienced racers on how to make the series even better.
‘As a growing platform, we value the voices of our community; and as such we will be enhancing the racing experience of this series with some new features. These include a player attack notification [and] an ability to connect your secondary power source to MyWhoosh. Together, these will help strengthen performance verification and ensure the highest standards of sportsmanship and fairness.
‘To embed these features and give riders the best possible experience, the decision has been taken to postpone the event. We will be back soon with an announcement of new dates.’
