Ahead of the race weekend on July 20-21, 2024, Challenge Family and Motiv Sports announced BMW as the official automotive partner for the Challenge New Jersey State Triathlon.

Athletes were able to engage in BMW vehicle test drives on Saturday July 20th from 10:00am to 16:00 at the Finish Line Festival area. BMW offered test drives in its latest vehicles, including the all-electric iX.
Previously the New Jersey State Triathlon, and part of the Y11 Sport & Media portfolio, the partnership with the established short course event in New Jersey marked the return of the Challenge Family event brand to the USA.
In tandem, in Canada, also on July 20-21, 2024, the inaugural SAIL Challenge Cap Québec powered by Argon 18 further bolstered Challenge Family’s return to North American triathlon.
The Challenge New Jersey State Triathlon, based in Mercer County Park, offers a fast and flat course. With a history of selling out with more than 3,000 athletes, participants swim in Mercer Lake, followed by a bike ride on closed county roads, and a run through the park’s shaded trails.

The Challenge New Jersey State Triathlon was also be the first Challenge Family Olympic distance event offering qualification slots for The Championship, Challenge Family’s qualification-only flagship event held annually in Šamorin, Slovakia. The top three finishers in each age group earned the opportunity to compete at this prestigious global event.
