As part of its NXT Gen campaign to support up-and-coming elite triathletes, supertri has announced a partnership with Europe Triathlon.
supertri is officially backing Europe Triathlon’s Rising Stars programme, which enables junior athletes from across the continent to have a chance to make a leap from amateur to professional status.
Europe Triathlon’s Rising Stars initiative has already been part of the journey of Fanni Szalai, the young prodigy who has burst onto the global stage via supertri, as well as global elite athletes such as Jonny Brownlee and Cassandre Beaugrand.
supertri’s support of Rising Stars is part of its own NXT Gen campaign, which will see supertri support a diverse range of projects…. ‘which align with its commitment to grow the sport and its core principles. This will be a yearly campaign fuelled by passion for the sport and driven by principle.’
supertri CEO and Co-Founder, Michael D’hulst, said “Europe Triathlon’s Rising Stars programme does a tremendous job in helping young athletes to make that next step, and part of our ethos at supertri is always to develop the next wave of pro superstars, and give them opportunities to develop they would never get elsewhere.
“This is a perfect example of how we are using our passion for triathlon to develop the sport via our NXT Gen initiative.”
Renato Bertrandi, Europe Triathlon President, added “Europe Triathlon puts the development of junior athletes at the heart of its concerns. The aim of our Rising Stars programme is to celebrate their successes in every European country.
“We want to give every junior on our continent the chance to reach the European and then the world elite. These goals and values fit in perfectly with supertri’s innovative and refreshing approach. We are therefore very proud to announce this partnership.”
supertri adds that it… ‘has a vision to ‘Inspire The Competitor In Everyone’ through a triathlon ecosystem where exciting racing and content increase engagement and participation. It includes innovative and entertaining professional closed league formats that redefined the sport, its unique supertri E hybrid racing and mass participation events.’
With the NXT Gen initiative, supertri aims to break down some of the traditional barriers to the sport of triathlon, including gender, race, and background. supertri will leverage its platforms and work with partners to showcase athletes and support them in furthering their ambitions and careers.
