Sunday, September 8, 2024 will see many of the world’s fastest triathletes land in London at supertri London 2024.
The event, in the heart of the UK’s financial district, will be the first time Team GB’s triathletes step foot onto a home-soil competition following the Paris Olympic Games.
(The men’s Olympic triathlon takes place in Parios, France, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 08:00 CEST, with the women’s triathlon on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 08:00.)
This September, taking on supertri’s unique race format, an elite field of international athletes will complete three back-to-back rounds of non-stop swim-bike-run. Racing will feature a 300m swim, 4km bike and 1.6km run, all at West India Quay, with its bars and restaurants and easy access via three major London tube lines and public transport.
Professional racing starts at midday local time, with the elite women taking to the water first, followed by the elite men. There will be live, on the ground MCs and big screens to showcase all the race action.
Now in its sixth year, supertri London 2024 plans to showcase a star-studded line up of Olympians, world champions and Commonwealth medalists. With new supertri teams announced for 2024, Jonny Brownlee leads out Brownlee Racing, alongside Alex Yee and Beth Potter.
At supertri London 2024, both the male and female races are predicted to clock in under 60 minutes, offering up a ‘fast and furious’ spectator experience.
Free spectator tickets can be found online. Once the curtain falls on London, the supertri Championship Series continues to Toulouse, France, and then Neom, Saudi Arabia, to crown the 2024 men’s and women’s champions.
