Expanded Rapha Eyewear collection with three new performance styles

Rapha has confirmed the launch of its latest innovations in eyewear. Introducing three new styles into its Eyewear collection, Rapha is presenting the Reis, Letras, and Dalton, each named after iconic cycling destinations.

The new performance frames are crafted for training, racing, and exploring, offering cyclists a combination of style and functionality. A release from Rapha added… ‘Designed to enhance performance and provide optimal clarity, Rapha Eyewear is engineered to look further, ensuring every ride is experienced in high definition.’

Each of the three new styles feature proprietary lens technology, anti-fog and anti-scratch finishes on the lenses, as well as hydrophobic lens coating for wet conditions. The frames are made with bio-based content, reflecting Rapha’s commitment to sustainability. Additionally, MEGOL arm and nose grippers ensure stability and grip, even in wet weather.

The Reis – named after Mallorca’s most famous and, arguably, toughest cycling climb ‘Coll Dels Reis’, popularly known as Sa Calobra – are engineered for greater perception and offer a half-framed design for a stable fit, plus interchangeable lenses, ensuring adaptability to various riding conditions.

With a freeform one-piece shield lens, these glasses help to extend the field of vision, while the contrast-enhancing lens technology adapts to changes in terrain and light conditions. The Reis glasses also provide protection from UV rays, wind, and road spray, making them a choice for training and racing.

For those seeking lightweight and frameless eyewear, the Letras are named after ‘Alto de Letras’, the gargantuan mountain pass in the Northern Andes. With a freeform shield lens and strategically placed ventilation, these glasses offer an extended field of vision.

The proprietary contrast-enhancing lens technology enhances hazard perception and adapts to variations in terrain and light conditions. The Letras glasses also provide increased protection from UV rays, road spray, and debris, aiding a comfortable and safe ride.

Designed for all riding and adventure conditions the Dalton – named after The Dalton Highway, a remote and rugged artery through the Arctic wilderness of Alaska, USA – offers versatility and adaptability. With interchangeable lenses, these glasses can cater to varying conditions, while the contrast-enhancing lens technology enhances clarity and hazard perception.

The wrapped design protects the eyes and extends the field of vision, and the removable adjustable neck strap adds convenience and flexibility.

Each of the three styles are available in four lens tint options, each optimised for different light conditions. From the grey low-light of pre-dawn to bright light at noon in the high mountains, cyclists can choose the lens tint to enhance their riding experience.
