Italian premium bike brand Officine Mattio has collaborated with Polymer Workshop and CeramicSpeed on its new Lemma Project bike.
Lemma Project is based on the Lemma RT frame, the top-range model of Cuneo-based Officine Mattio, and there are just 20 numbered bikes available. Each Lemma Project bike is equipped with a test card and the Token Access NFC-Tag by Polymer Workshop applied on the frame.
Officine Mattio notes that the token, with NFC technology… ‘allows for an immediate dialogue between the athlete’s bicycle and smartphone, thus obtaining information on the bicycle and project-related content.’
The name ‘Lemma’ comes from the Alpine climb near Officine Mattio’s premises on which its founder, Giovanni Monge Roffarello, tested the brand’s first prototype. The Lemma RT bike features lowered seatstays, internal cable routing and a ‘neoclassical racing geometry’.

In the limited-edition Lemma Project bike, in collaboration with Danish brands Polymer Workshop and CeramicSpeed, the bike is equipped with top-quality CeramicSpeed components. It boasts customised CeramicSpeed bearings, including those of the SLT (Solid Lubricant Technology) headset, which are claimed to not require any maintenance, as well as the CeramicSpeed OSPW system (OverSized Pulley Wheel).
Polymer Workshop has given its own personal aesthetics to the frame, via a silver shade that goes from the back to the front of the bike, becoming more intense in the back. The bike is also equipped with the Polymer Enhance 50:52 wheel set.
This specific wheel model has been designed to optimise pedalling and save energy, regardless of the terrain. According to Polymer Workshop, it enables the cyclist to maintain high speed levels with less of an effort, while greatly improving cycling efficiency.
The Lemma RT is also equipped with the new Polymer Sculpture handlebar, which… ‘offers an integrated, comprehensive solution, for an optimal control of the bike, guaranteeing a safer and more comfortable cycling experience.’
Finally, the bike is equipped with a Polymer Obelisk seatpost, Sella Italia SRL Tekno Carbon saddle and Vittoria Corsa Pro tyres.
Available for delivery in August 2024, Lemma Project with Dura-Ace Di2 is priced at €14,500.
