Indoor cycling platform BKOOL has launched a new virtual store with more customisation options for its users.
From now on, BKOOL users will not only be able to change their virtual cycling equipment, bike and wheels, but they can also customise their avatar with different models of helmets and cycling glasses.
In addition, the cycling simulator has added new ways to customise sessions, allowing users to configure them as competitive events or training sessions.
There are three virtual models helmets based on: Van Rysel; GIANT – Rev PRO MIPS; and LIV – Rev PRO MIPS. These will be expanded in future updates.
Four models of virtual Scicon glasses have also been added: Scicon Aero Shade Kunken; Scicon Aero Scope; Scicon Aero Shade XL; and Scicon Aero Watt, as well as the Van Rysel PERF-900-LIGHT glasses.
BKOOL has also expanded its virtual bike catalogue with two new virtual models from the FACTOR brand: FACTOR O2 VAM Velvet Red with BLACK INC 48|58 wheels; FACTOR O2 VAM Storm with BLACK INC 48|58 wheels; as well as the AURUM Magma AGATE BLACK bike.
In the coming weeks elite riders such as Alberto Contador, Chris Froome and Remco Evenepoel will also lead virtual group rides in BKOOL, taking part in virtual events such as Il Lombardia or the next edition of the Giro d’Italia Virtual, which starts in October.
BKOOL is the official technology partner of RCS Sport and its extensive catalogue of virtual routes includes races such as the Giro d’Italia with all its stages, the Strade Bianche, Il Lombardia, Tirreno-Adriatico, Milano-Sanremo or Milano-Torino, among others.
The indoor cycling platform is also a sponsor of the CRO Race 2024, which will take place in early October on the roads of Croatia.
Ángel Luis Fernández Sánchez, BKOOL’s Marketing Director, said “We want our users to enjoy a more personalised, social and fun experience. BKOOL continues to be the most complete and effective indoor training tool for achieving your goals, but the goal is for you to socialise and have fun while achieving them.
All of the improvements included in this latest update and the virtual events we will be introducing by the end of the year are in this vein.”
BKOOL notes that it is maintaining the price of its premium plans with a monthly option for €11/month, an annual subscription for €110/year and a family plan for three users for €43/year per person. All plans include a 30-day free trial for new users.
