Van Rysel, retailer Decathlon’s brand of road bikes & cycling gear, in partnership with virtual cycling platform Zwift, has confirmed the launch of the D100 Zwift Edition Home Trainer.
Priced at €299.99 / £259.99, the Van Rysel D100 Zwift Edition Home Trainer is now available exclusively on the Decathlon website as well as via online bike, running and outdoor store Alltricks.
As an innovation that aims to simplify indoor cycling, the D100 Zwift Edition is equipped with the brand-new Zwift Cog, a freewheel designed to replace the traditional cassette.
Compatible with most bikes, from 8-12 speeds, the Cog dynamically adjusts resistance to simulate virtual gear changes. This provides a smooth and silent experience by eliminating the need to physically change gears, making installation and maintenance easier.
With virtual shifting, cyclists can enjoy up to 24 virtual gears through ‘precise, gradual resistance adjustments’. This technology helps to make training sessions more realistic while reducing noise and interruptions, delivering an immersive, continuous experience.
For a simple and quick installation, the Zwift Cog comes pre-installed on the D100 Zwift Edition. Additionally, with Zwift Click, users can easily adjust resistance and switch gears seamlessly via the Zwift app, maximising performance during each training session.
