Virtual shifting: ROUVY confirms compatibility with Zwift hardware

ROUVY has launched an update this week allowing full compatibility with Zwift hardware, including Zwift Ride, Click and Cog.

The virtual cycling platform added that this will offer ROUVY riders an enhanced virtual shifting experience, while providing greater accessibility within the indoor cycling community.

Enabling compatibility of the Zwift hardware into the ROUVY app allows riders to enjoy the benefits of virtual shifting, offering smooth and responsive gear changes, no matter their online bike setup.

ROUVY adds that… ‘Riders can now train with enhanced efficiency, free from mechanical constraints, while delivering a real-world cycling feel on ROUVY’s augmented reality routes.’

Until now, the Ride, Click and Cog were only compatible with Zwift software. However, with the introduction of ROUVY’s virtual shifting compatibility, riders using Zwift hardware can now access ROUVY’s software and ride any of its 1,500+ immersive routes on the app.

Zwift hardware owners on ROUVY will have full use of all 24 virtual gears, which are displayed on-screen to indicate their current gear status, alongside the already existing on-screen data including power, heart rate and cadence.

“ROUVY is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology that enhances the indoor riding experience for as many users as possible,” said Marek-Martin Makyska, Product Director at ROUVY.

“With this additional compatibility, we continue to offer users the most flexible and immersive training environment possible no matter what hardware they use.”
