The next edition of the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris – billed as ‘the biggest marathon in the world’ – will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Organised by A.S.O. (Amaury Sport Organisation), nearly 55,000 runners from around the globe will take to the streets of the French capital in April. Entries for the 2025 event closed in October, hitting capacity two months earlier than the previous edition.
For several years, the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris has encouraged all its entrants to adopt environmentally friendly practices, support charitable and inclusive causes and embrace sport for health, giving rise to a community of ambassadors for eco-responsibility, known as ‘Green Runners’.
Here, all runners are invited to reiterate their commitment by integrating simple eco-friendly actions into their training (picking up litter, opting for locally sourced food, etc.) or by carpooling whenever possible.
From February 10th to March 9th, in collaboration with ASICS and via the ASICS RunKeeper app, the Green Runners Challenge is aiming to shine a spotlight on the event’s eco-philosophy.
A.S.O. adds that the challenge is all about taking care of health while protecting the environment. Top performers will get rewards such as a bib for the 2026 edition of the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris and an equipment pack from ASICS (a cap, socks, and a pair of ASICS Nimbus shoes from the Paris capsule).
Is the race completely sold out? Not quite. A few bibs remain available for those who want to combine running through the streets of Paris with the satisfaction that comes from running for a cause. The Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris charity bib platform sees proceeds going to one of the event’s selected charities. Nearly €9 million has been raised for partner charities since 2012.
