MarathonFoto, the specialist in race event photography, has highlighted a number of milestones in 2024 as well as the retirement of a key team member in 2025. In March, Senior Advisor and former President Bruce Franke will retire after nearly four decades of leadership with MarathonFoto.
Franke’s departure takes place while the company marks its 2024 performance, with highlights including:
- Partnering with over 200 events
- Serving over 1.3 million athletes
- Capturing more than 33.1 million photos
- Recording 726,291 finish line videos – equating to over 300 hours of video content collected
Some of the most recognizable events that MarathonFoto captured included the B.A.A. Boston Marathon presented by Bank of America, the TCS New York City Marathon, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and the Stockholm Marathon.
As a part of MarathonFoto’s client work, a portion of the company’s proceeds are reinvested into the industry. In 2024, MarathonFoto gave back US$3.7 million to its partner events, supporting sport growth and allowing for greater giving to events’ charitable partners.
“It’s bittersweet – we’re celebrating another 365 days of documenting one-of-a-kind memories for participants worldwide and saying farewell to a leader who has been instrumental in our success,” said Brad Kroll, President of MarathonFoto.
“As we say congratulations to our team on their achievements in 2024, we also hope they will keep Bruce and his remarkable lessons at the forefront of their work every day. Thank you, Bruce – you will always be a part of MarathonFoto!”
