Poznań, Poland-based, energy company Enea has become the title sponsor of the Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań event for further successive year. This year’s event will take place on September 5-7, 2025.
As part of its sponsorship, Enea has confirmed a program of attractions for athletes and fans, as well as its employees.
Grzegorz Kinelski, President of Enea, said “We have been with Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań for four years, i.e. from the very beginning of the competition in the capital of Wielkopolska.
“At Enea, we set ourselves the goal of promoting an active lifestyle, taking care of health and physical condition. With the participants, their families and fans in mind, including the youngest ones, we are preparing a lot of attractions in the Enea Zones.
“These including fitness and endurance tests, dietary advice and more. We wish the competitors joy of participating in the race and the best results, and the fans exceptional fun and energy to cheer participants.”
IRONMAN Poland spokesman Maciej Stroiński said “Poznań holds a special place in the hearts of Polish triathlon competitors. This is where the history of this discipline began in our country.
“Today, this location is one of the best-rated places on the world triathlon map. This is also due to the excellent cooperation with sponsors.”
The weekend with Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań will start on Friday, September 5. The Expo and Official Merchandise Store will start at the Poznań International Fair, in pavilion number 3. Starting at 15:00 CEST, athletes will be able to collect their race packages.
The first race start will take place on Friday at 22:00. Here, anyone can take part in Night Run Poznań, an after-dark run over a distance of 5km, that is not only for participants of Sunday’s Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań competition.
On the Saturday six runs will be held as part of Pho3nix IRONKIDS Poznań. Children will run different distances divided by age. The youngest – 3-year-olds – will have to cover about 200m. The oldest children – 15-year-olds – will race over a distance of about 1,400m.
Children’s races, which accompany adult competitions as part of IRONMAN Poland, will take place in all cities hosting the series across Poland.
An Olympic distance triathlon gets under way on the Sunday. At 08:00, participants will start from Parkowa Beach at Lake Kierskie (1.5 km of swimming, 40 km of cycling, 10 km of running).
An hour and a half later – at 09:30 – competitors of Enea IRONMAN 70.3 Poznań will head into the water. They will swim 1900m, and then cycle 90km. The last stage will be a 21.1 km run. To help support athletes, and to build engagement among spectators, grandstands for the public will be set up at Plac PeWuka in central Poznań.
The event organising team add that a ‘whole triathlon town’ with attractions for fans will be in the Polish city. Here, entry for fans is not ticketed.
