UK-based event management and marketing platform Eventrac has released a free AI participant support agent to handle participant queries for event organisers.
The AI-powered agent enables participants to find answers to common questions and self-manage their bookings. This includes tasks such as updating entries, transferring an event place to someone else, deferring to a later date, or changing races, all without direct organiser involvement.
The technology allows organisers to maintain their brand identity by customising the support agent’s appearance – including giving it a name and adding an image – so participants can feel like they are interacting with a member of the event team.
The new tool was trialled at the Beachy Head Marathon, one of the UK’s largest off-road events. The organiser’s AI agent handled over 400 participant queries in the final three days before race day, addressing everything from event details to the weather forecast.
