Garmin announced as new timing partner of DATEV Challenge Roth

Garmin has been confirmed as the new timing partner of DATEV Challenge Roth. This year’s event will take place on July 6, 2025 and was fully booked after just 40 seconds of online registration going live.

DATEV Challenge Roth organiser TeamChallenge noted that, as the event’s new timing partner… ‘Garmin will significantly expand its activities around the world’s biggest long-distance triathlon, which will directly benefit both the participants and the volunteers in Roth. The partnership is set to run for several years.’

As part of DATEV Challenge Roth, Garmin will not only be in attendance as a timing partner, but will also have an expo stand including all its latest Garmin products for visitors to try and buy. In addition, Garmin will be organising a community run where participants will have the opportunity to test the products in action.

Together with the local community and travelling supporters, Garmin will seek to provide plenty of motivation during the marathon leg of the long distance triathlon, with a hotspot on the canal at the 7km and 11km mark.

Race Director of DATEV Challenge Roth, Felix Walchshöfer said “Garmin always offers the highest quality for all athletes, as demonstrated by several awards and the widespread use of its products in triathlon.

“As a premium provider in the sports sector, Garmin is a perfect fit for the triathlon in Roth. We are delighted to have the market leader in sports watches as a partner in the Roth community.”

Felix Hegar, Head of Brand Management DACH at Garmin, added “Roth and Garmin. They simply go together.

“The desire to constantly challenge ourselves and improve has accompanied us as a company for 35 years. We have made ‘Beat Yesterday’ our mantra, and the athletes in Roth also follow this motto. The fact that we are part of their lives with our products and accompanying them on their journey makes us proud.”

Garmin is also providing its products for a raffle at the traditional Volunteers’ Party on the Monday after the race. In doing so, Garmin is looking to reinforce the importance of volunteers in triathlon.
