Imogen Gaunt has been appointed as Director of Brand, Engagement & Membership at British Triathlon, the third addition to the national governing body’s executive team to be announced this month.
Her arrival will seek to bring a renewed focus on British Triathlon’s ambitions to raise the profile of triathlon, further grow participation in the sport and drive growth and improved engagement across the swim, bike, run community.
Gaunt has extensive experience of evolving brands, building communities and implementing data-driven acquisition campaigns across grassroots, professional and elite sports. She has previously worked across cricket, tennis, and rugby league and union in a variety of communications and marketing roles.

Imogen Gaunt said “There is huge potential within the sport and a real opportunity for British Triathlon to grow and deepen its engagement with the already active triathlon and swim, bike run community across the UK.
“I’m looking forward to building on the work that has already been done through leveraging the world leading performances achieved at the Olympics, Paralympics and other major events.
“I am really excited to see how I can use my experience to help elevate British Triathlon and take the sport to the next level with participants, fans and the whole swim, bike run community. I am looking forward to working with everyone across the organisation as well as the wider triathlon community and getting stuck into delivering insight-led campaigns to drive membership growth and engagement.”
Gaunt joins British Triathlon from a consultancy role where she worked across a range of clients in sport, finance, transport, and healthcare. Prior to that she worked for rugby union team Harlequins and within other sports, including tennis and cricket.
