New York-based running apparel brand Miler Running is bringing back its ‘fastest-selling design’ – the tortoise print – as part of its Work Running collection. The print first appeared in 2023 and now returns on the lightweight Work Running Short.
The garment features an Italian nylon stretch woven shell, a soft moisture-wicking liner, and weighs less than 100g (size M). It includes a PFC-free water repellent coating for improved water resistance. The tortoise design was developed in partnership with Brooklyn-based print designer and runner Emily Morrison.
The print takes inspiration from the classic tortoise versus hare fable, and also serves as a nod to the turtles seen crossing the Park loop in Prospect Park during nesting season from late May to July.
To mark the release, the Miler team tested the new short at the Leatherman’s Loop 10K trail race at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, NY. The event is the largest trail race east of the Mississippi River and features river crossings, mud flats and quarry climbs.
The tortoise print Work Running Short will be released today (Thursday, May 29 at 09:00 EST) exclusively at milerrunning.com. Email subscribers received early access 24 hours before release.
