Santini has launched a new range of aerodynamic race apparel called MADSS – short for Mega AeroDynamic Speed Shell. The Italian brand said the line is designed for riders seeking peak speed and aerodynamic efficiency without compromising comfort.
The MADSS collection includes skinsuits, socks, gloves, and shoe covers, all developed through research into airflow dynamics and advanced tailoring techniques.
The design of the MADSS road skinsuits draws on development work previously carried out by Santini for Lidl-Trek athletes and for Tour de France leaders’ jerseys.
MADSS skinsuit
The MADSS skinsuit is made with lightweight, breathable Lycra on the upper section for cooling. A tight fit and low collar contribute to a streamlined profile, while shuttle-woven sleeves with a striped texture are designed to enhance airflow through the vortex effect.
The lower section features high-resistance Lycra with medium compression and raw-cut hems with internal silicone grippers for added stability. A C3 chamois with anti-shock gel inserts and 3D ergonomic shaping is included for long-distance comfort.
Available in four designs, the skinsuit includes a triple rear pocket. Suggested retail price: €220 / US$261 / £210
MADSS gloves
The MADSS aero gloves use a Lycra and polyurethane blend on the upper section to reduce air resistance. The lightly padded palm offers grip and control, intended for use in time trials and short-distance races. Suggested retail price: €40 / US$48 / £40
MADSS shoe covers
The aero shoe covers are designed to fit like a second skin. According to Santini, the construction reduces drag and offers a competitive advantage in high-speed conditions. Suggested retail price: €45 / US$53 / £45
MADSS socks
The socks are made with an elastic, breathable fabric for temperature control and a precise fit. The foot section uses Q-Skin fabric for moisture management. A three-stripe internal silicone grip helps keep the cuff in place during hard efforts. Suggested retail price: €35 / US$42 / £35
