Shokz, the company known for its open-ear, bone conduction audio technology, has confirmed the launch of two new models in its OpenFit 2 Series: OpenFit 2 and OpenFit 2+.
The OpenFit 2 is available in beige and black for £169, while the flagship OpenFit 2+ retails at £179 in grey and black. Both models are now available via uk.shokz.com and at UK retailers including John Lewis and Selfridges.
Designed with lightweight, high-strength materials, both models offer a soft silicone finish and flexible nickel-titanium alloy earhooks for all-day comfort and a secure fit. Each earbud weighs in at 9.4g.
New audio & control features
The OpenFit 2 Series incorporates DualBoost Technology, housing two drivers in each earbud to deliver deep bass and detailed highs. Enhanced further with Shokz OpenBass 2.0, the company notes that users can expect stronger low-frequency vibrations and improved music clarity.
The new models also feature a hybrid control system combining physical buttons and touch controls, allowing users to adjust volume, skip tracks or take calls.
The OpenFit 2+ goes a step further, adding Dolby Audio for a spatial, high-fidelity listening experience – whether for music, movies, or gaming. It also introduces wireless charging, appealing to users seeking added convenience.
Battery life and durability
Both earbuds offer up to 11 hours of listening on a single charge, with the charging case extending total use to 48 hours. A quick 10-minute charge provides up to 2 hours of listening time. Each model also includes IP55 water resistance, four AI-powered noise-cancelling microphones, and supports Bluetooth 5.4.
