Supertri has confirmed that Toulouse will return to its Supertri League calendar for a fourth consecutive year in 2025, with a new mass participation event joining the elite race.
The French city will host both races on Sunday, October 5, 2025. The Toulouse Triathlon By Supertri for amateur athletes will take place in the morning, with the Supertri League professional event following later that day.
Both races will be held on city centre courses designed for high-speed action and fan engagement. Toulouse joins Chicago – scheduled for August 23 – as one of two Supertri League stops announced so far for the 2025 season.
According to Supertri, the addition of a mass participation element marks a key step in expanding the reach of the series. Athletes of all abilities, from beginners to experienced amateurs, will have the chance to race on similar courses as the professionals.
“Toulouse has consistently delivered world-class racing, enthusiastic crowds, and meaningful community impact,” said Michael D’hulst, Supertri co-founder and CEO.
“The addition of the Toulouse Triathlon By Supertri is a natural next step, giving more people the chance to be part of this extraordinary experience.”
Supertri reports that the Toulouse elite race has averaged 10,000 spectators per year, with 44% visiting from outside the city.
Supertri also reported a 4:1 return on investment for host partners in 2024, with over half its event budget spent locally. Community outreach has included athlete visits to local schools and support for Toulouse triathlon club TTM.
In 2024, Supertri partnered with cancer hospital Oncopole for events including a community run and athlete visits. The organisation also offered clinics and sessions for young athletes, alongside fan favourites such as ‘Run with Vince’ with Vincent Luis and the Fanzone in the Capitole.
D’hulst added that the series’ return to Toulouse was “something new, exciting, and more accessible than ever.”
