Fizik has released Kyros, which is positioned as a versatile helmet designed to balance performance with all-round comfort and protection. Developed for a wide range of disciplines, such as road, gravel, and cross-country riding, it features a sleek, rounded profile and a compact, low-profile silhouette.
Based in Pozzoleone, Italy, Fizik was founded in 1996 and is an international specialist in high-performance cycling gear. While the brand is well known for its saddles, bar tape, and shoes, the addition of the Kyros helmet reinforces its shift toward offering a complete head-to-toe system for cyclists.
The new model sits within a growing collection of helmets developed by the company to cover major riding disciplines. Fizik’s existing drop bar options include the Kudo and Kudo Aero, while the Kunee is designed for Tri and TT riders. For flat bar trail riders, the brand offers the Kassis.
As a mid-range option, Kyros focuses on making high-level design and protective technologies more accessible. It includes the Fizik Crown Fit system, which allows riders to fine-tune the helmet’s shape using detachable red pins in three different settings. This is complemented by a micrometric dial at the back for tilt adjustment and lightweight webbing around the ears.
George Huxford, Senior Marketing Manager at Fizik said “We are very excited to bring Crown Fit Technology to a wider group of riders with Kyros. A simple, elegant solution to re-shape the helmet without the need for extra padding, I’ve particularly enjoyed seeing the surprise on rider’s faces’ when a helmet that didn’t fit correctly on the initial try now matches the shape of their head, after only some minor adjustment.”
The helmet features an EPS-PC shell engineered to distribute impact forces. For additional safety, the MIPS Evolve Core system is included to help dissipate rotational forces during angled impacts. This low-friction layer is positioned between the liner and the shell to provide advanced protection.
For thermoregulation, the design includes strategically placed vents and a wide air-exhaust outlet at the rear to dissipate heat. The side vents also function as a ‘sunglasses garage’ to hold eyewear securely when not in use.
Kyros is compatible with the unique Fizik helmet light, which integrates into the rear of the helmet without tools. Each helmet comes with a blanking plate and a reflective tab, giving riders the choice of an active or passive visibility aid. The light is available separately for US$32.99, £29.99, or €29.00.
The helmet is certified to both EU and CPSC standards. It is available in four colourways: white, black, grey/lavender, and desert/dove. Pricing for the Kyros is: US$199.99 / £169.99 / €190.
The helmet is available in three sizes: Small (52–56cm), Medium (56–59cm), and Large (59–61cm). Depending on the safety standard, weights range from 275g for a size small (CE) to 335g for a size large (CPSC).
