Fizik has introduced Lyra, a new road shoe designed to accommodate modern bike geometry and evolving rider positions. It features an updated anatomical shape with a wider, rounder toe box to provide a more natural fit for endurance rides and daily training.
Founded in 1996, fizik is an international brand specialising in high–performance saddles, shoes, and components for road, off-road, and triathlon. It is a common choice within the professional peloton and has won a number of design awards for its technical innovations.
The company notes that the design of Lyra responds to shifts in bike geometry that have altered how riders interact with contact points. The updated platform includes a lower–drop profile and a rounder forefoot, which align with how athletes position themselves on modern bike frames. This shape also provides additional room for those who prefer a slightly rearward cleat position for improved stability.

The shoe is constructed with an R4 fibre composite outsole, which has a stiffness index of 8. This is paired with an engineered mesh upper for ventilation and PU–laminated zones around the closure system for added structural support.
For adjustment, the Lyra uses a Dual–Dial Li2 BOA Fit System. This allows for independent tuning at the instep and midfoot, ensuring a personalised fit for long–distance performance.
