Fabric, the cycling parts and accessories brand born out of British urban and mountain bike culture, has expanded its product line with the launch of the Gripper V2. The updated model is the brand’s first water bottle to feature ‘permanent anti-microbial protection’.
Designed as a ‘germbuster’ for cyclists looking to avoid odour build-up, the bottle incorporates an anti-microbial agent embedded directly within the material. According to the company, this permanent treatment keeps the bottle smell and taste free throughout its lifespan.
The Gripper V2 retains key features from the original version, including an integrated non-slip texture around the neck for secure handling in wet conditions. It features a soft, BPA-free body and a high-flow silicone valve designed for rapid hydration.
Instead of printed graphics, the bottle uses an embossed logo built into the surface to prevent wear and peeling over time.
Florian Bont, Brand Manager at Fabric said “With the Gripper V2, we wanted to solve the two biggest complaints riders have with water bottles. Unpleasant taste and smell that builds up over time and ugly, peeling graphics. By embedding both the anti-microbial agent and logo directly into the bottle, we’ve created a product that tastes fresh and looks sharp for years.”
The Gripper V2 is available in 600ml and 750ml sizes across six colourways, including Smoke, Desert, Crimson, Moss, Lake, and a transparent version.
Pricing for the 600ml model is set at £11.99 / €11.90 / US12.00, while the 750ml option is priced at £14.99/€13.90/US14.00.
