HOKA has been confirmed as the new multi-year title partner of the Hackney Moves festival, one of London’s largest fitness celebrations. The agreement strengthens a three-year relationship between the running brand and event organiser, Motiv Sports UK, with HOKA previously serving as the official footwear and apparel partner.
The 2026 HOKA Hackney Moves festival is scheduled for May 15–17, 2026. The weekend-long event is hosted on Hackney Marshes and features live music, community activations, and the Hackney Half Marathon as its centrepiece on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
According to the event organising team, the Hackney Half has become the largest half marathon in the UK capital. General entry tickets for the 2026 edition sold out within a single day when they were released in May 2025, marking four consecutive years of record sell-outs. More than 27,000 runners have reportedly registered for the 2026 event.
In addition to the headline sponsorship, HOKA continues its support of the Hackney Academy. This 12-week programme, which first launched in 2025 and has been reintroduced for 2026, provides free coaching and kit for 50 runners from the local area. The initiative is intended to remove barriers to participation for both new and returning runners in Hackney and the surrounding boroughs.
The festival continues to see significant growth in attendance and impact. In 2025, more than 60,000 people reportedly visited the festival site over two days. The event also serves as a major fundraising platform, with participants raising over £4 million for local and national charities during the previous year.
Rebecca Shaw, Senior Partnerships Manager at Motiv Sports UK, said “We’re thrilled to welcome HOKA as the new title partner of Hackney Moves. HOKA’s commitment and joyful approach to movement aligns perfectly with the spirit of this event. Together we will continue to elevate the experience for every participant and spectator who makes Hackney such a special place to run.”
Guido Geilenkirchen, VP and GM at HOKA EMEA, said “We’re incredibly proud to strengthen our partnership with Hackney Moves as title sponsor. Over the past three years, we’ve seen first-hand how powerful this event is, not just as a race, but as a cultural moment that brings together runners, crews and communities from across East London and beyond.”
The 2026 programme will involve collaborations with local running groups and over 40 Hackney-based organisations to maintain the event’s community focus.
